Call of Juarez: The Cartel | Latest Games

Call of Juarez: The Cartel is an upcoming first-person shooter game, to be released in North America this September 13, 2011 on PC. This game is developed by Techland, and was demonstrated at Penny Arcade Expo East just recently. Call of Juarez: The Cartel is set in Los Angeles and Mexico, and players take the role of 3 law enforcement agents. The story of the game begun on July 4, 2011 when DEA offices along the Mendoza Cartel has been bombed. A large gang involved in drugs and other forms of criminal activities was behind this bombing incident. This gang is handled by Juan Mendoza and his son Jesus.

An inter agency task force was formed after this bombing incident. The task force was created by Deputy Attorney General Joseph B. Reynolds, and it was automatically approved by the  President. The members of this task force are LAPD detective and Vietnam Veteran Ben McCall, Agent Eddie Guerra, and FBI Agent Kimberly Evans. After that incident at the DEA offices, Patrick Stone, a high ranking DEA agent was killed. Before that incident he left a letter to his lawyer, telling that his daughter Jessica Stone must seek Ben McCall because he's the only one who could be trusted to protect her as a state witness. During the war in Vietnam Ben McCall served Patrick Stone. One of the major antagonist in Call of Juarez: The Cartel is Alvarez, he also served Patrick Stone along with McCall during the war in Vietnam. There rivalry begun when McCall accused Alvared of killing a female civillian in Saigon. McCall's only witness, Stone, denied having any knowledge about it, that's the reason why the Military tribunal dropped the case.

On the other hand the only agent who survived the DEA bombing incident was Eddie Guerra, but he is under suspicion due to the fact that he stepped out  of the building to take a phone call and that's the reason why he survived the incident. Guerra has a secret agenda of earning some money due to his gambling problems which owes him the bookies a lot of money. Because of his gang activities, FBI Agent Kimberly Evans has been pushed to protect her eighteen year old brother Deon. Jessica Stone, daughter of Patrick Stone has been under witness protection after the bombing incident and after the task force was formed. The task force discovered that Patrick Stone found out that Alvarez is the middle man between them and their arms dealer, because Stone has been investigating Alvarez since then. The 3 members of the task force then go to Sequia National Park to frame another gang named "ARANA" by placing their tags around the blaze. After framing up Arana they searched the Rolling 50's which is a small-time gang only who deals with Arana. Due to Kim's request, McCall secured Deon by having him fetched by the LAPD for 24 hours. A large number of gangsters turn up and fired the task force after they stole the drug money and tagged it with Arana's sign. Because of it the 3 had no choice but to get out of the area before they get killed. I'm sure your going to have an all out gang war and chaos with Call of Juarez: The Cartel.
